About Alethea
Alethea is a startup that provides an eConsult and digital diagnostic platform to primary care providers (mostly Family Physicians), helping them access faster specialist care and advice. Currently, Alethea provides eConsult for 10 specialties, along with AI diagnostic support for ENT and Dermatology.
Our technology enables secure communication between Family Physicians and our team of Specialists, allowing Family Physicians to receive same-day recommendations for patient care. Included with our platform is a digital endoscope that can be used with Alethea's Artificial Intelligence for point-of-care diagnostic support.
Alethea is seeking an enthusiastic, engaged and highly motivated Product Manager to help us further the development of our product. You will work with the development team, business development team, and users to prioritize and facilitate the development of new products and features.
What we look for
As a Product Manager you will work with the business development team, software development team, and customers to ensure all voices are heard and represented when creating new products and features. This will be done through direct interaction with individual clients and collaboration with the software and business development teams.
Overview
Work with the management team to develop a product development plan. This provides a structured approach to fulfilling our strategic goals in the area of product development. Execute the plan in conjunction with the rest of the Alethea team.
The following activities will be part of (but not limited to) the job:
- Work with the business development team to maintain excellent relations with our current and future client base
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and to discuss future features of our offering
- Maintain the product road map in conjunction with the management team
- Capture user requirements and translate them into design documents, architecture etc
- Support the business development team to create winning proposals for misc. clients
- Participate in weekly management team meetings
- Prepare monthly release meetings
- Understand Alethea's QMS processes
- Proactively follow Alethea's QMS processes
Success factors
Although we see the success of the company as a joint responsibility, the following metrics have been defined to measure the success of the Product Manager:
- Successful implementation of new products and features as set out in the product roadmap and company strategy
- Achievement of revenue and profit targets as set out in the corporate strategy
- Contributions to company development
- Contributions to culture and company happiness
Qualifications/Expertise Required
We are more interested in personality and behavioural skills than in degrees, diplomas, etc. For this role we are looking for a recent graduate. We require a relevant university degree (eg business, engineering, science). Experience in bridging between client needs and technical product development is essential. Experience in client facing roles is a plus. We are looking for a person who is likeable, who easily connects with people and who has excellent communication skills (verbal and in writing). Work experience in the medical space (eg in a medical clinic) is appreciated. At Alethea we strive for diversity in our team.
