Dr. Wegenast is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist practicing at Access Orthopaedics in Calgary. He received his medical degree and completed residency at the University of Alberta. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Wegenast has pursued additional subspecialty training in electrodiagnostics and is a diplomate of the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (EMG). He has also completed advanced training in interventional procedures performed under fluoroscopic and ultrasound guidance. In addition to his clinical work, he serves as a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at both the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary.

His clinical practice focuses on evidence-based interventional pain management for a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, with particular expertise in spine interventions.
