Dr. Karim Manji was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta Canada. He graduated from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at Long Beach Memorial Medical Centre. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Calgary. He also serves as the Director of the Zivot Limb Preservation Centre and the past Chair of the Association of Alberta Podiatric Surgeons. He has a keen interest in the Diabetic Foot, particularly ulcers and limb preservation, and is currently involved in research surrounding the impact of technology and its ability to improve healing times for diabetic foot ulcers and to reduce rates of re-ulceration. He is also interested in tendon releases in the foot and ankle to help treat diabetic foot ulcers. He is also a member of the Section of Podiatric Surgery on the Calgary Zone, and provides on-call services for forefoot trauma and diabetes - related foot complications.
