Dr. Larissa Petriw Jones completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of
Alberta, followed by Internal Medicine residency at Queens University (Kingston, ON), and
Rheumatology residency at Western University (London, ON).
Dr. Jones enjoys the broad scope of general rheumatology practice. She has particular interests in
autoimmune diseases in young adults, maintaining physical function, pregnancy in rheumatology
and medical education. She has developed several teaching resources for Rheumatology learners
including an MSK radiology handbook, and continues to be involved in medical student and
resident Rheumatology training through the University of Alberta as a Clinical Lecturer.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Jones enjoys spending her time cooking, gardening and being active. In
her spare time, she can be found skiing, hiking, spending time with her family and cheering on
her favourite sports teams.
