Dr. Martin Vetter is an Associate Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at the University of Calgary and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. As a co-founder and consultant for JoyceHealth.ca, Dr. Vetter provides expert psychiatric oversight and consultation designed to bridge the gap between primary care and specialized pediatric mental health services.

Drawing on an world-class educational background - including medical school at Ulm University, residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and specialized child and adolescent fellowship training at Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts General/McLean Hospital) - Dr. Vetter brings excellent clinical expertise to the Alberta landscape. His work addresses the critical need for timely, evidence-based psychiatric intervention for children and youth facing complex mental health challenges.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Vetter is a recognized leader in the medical community, currently serving as the President for the Section of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with the Alberta Medical Association (AMA). His diverse experience spans emergency psychiatry, private practice, and intensive collaboration with Alberta Children and Family Services (CFS), ensuring he understands the intricate systemic hurdles families and physicians face.
