Dr. Matthew Grossi (MD, FRCSC) is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Vulvar and Vaginal Disease (ISSVD). He grew up in Calgary and completed his Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Doctor of Medicine at the University of Calgary, before pursuing residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alberta, which he completed in 2018.
Following residency, Dr. Grossi undertook additional training in benign and premalignant vulvar and vaginal disease at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and at a private dermatology clinic in Charlotte, North Carolina. He currently practices full-time Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, and also provides coverage in several smaller communities throughout Alberta.
His clinical interests include benign and premalignant vulvar and vaginal disease, high-risk obstetrics, and menopause. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Grossi is actively involved in teaching residents and medical students at the University of Calgary.
He is happy to answer questions related to all aspects of pregnancy care, particularly high-risk or medically complex cases, as well as gynecology, with special interests in abnormal uterine bleeding, vulvar and vaginal disease, menopause, contraception, and surgical gynecology.
