Rejish (Reji) Thomas MD, MSc, FRCPC is a consultant inpatient and outpatient psychiatrist and jointly appointed Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta and University of Calgary. He has a MSc and expertise in treatment resistant psychiatric illness and ketamine, with multiple publications in the field.
He has presented locally, nationally and internationally on his work in treatment resistant depression and transcultural psychiatry. He has a special interest in depression and the Edmonton Oilers, and the two are not always mutually exclusive.
From 2020-2022, he worked at Foothills Hospital in Calgary as an inpatient psychiatrist on Unit 21 and an outpatient psychiatrist with the Mood disorders program. He is now working at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital for inpatient and outpatient psychiatry.
Dr. Thomas grew up in Fairview, Alberta and also continues to see patients in rural, northern Alberta through outpatient AHS telepsychiatry. He prides himself in continuing to build on a broad psychiatry expertise.
